Route 66 has changed quite a bit since I first drove it in 1992. Here are some views that no longer look the same. Most, but not all, of the changes are for the worse...

Francis Marten, creator of 'Our Lady of the Highways'

Francis Marten, creator of the "Our Lady of the Highways" statue, west of Raymond, IL. The statue's still there, but Francis died in June 2002.
